Compatibility starts below the brand name.
ONVIF and RTSP address different parts of a network-video system. ONVIF profiles specify sets of interoperable functions, while RTSP concerns control of streaming media sessions. A device brand alone does not settle either question. Check the exact model, firmware, supported profiles, stream configuration and the client that will connect.

ONVIF: inspect the profile
ONVIF describes profiles as fixed feature sets for conformant devices and clients. It also maintains registered conformant products. When evaluating a camera, identify the exact product and the functions both sides of the connection need. A generic ONVIF label is not a complete test record.
RTSP: inspect the stream configuration
A stream session still depends on a reachable device, permitted credentials, the documented path and media settings the receiving system can handle. Record those details rather than copying a guessed address from a different model.
Bring a reproducible configuration
- Camera or recorder model and firmware
- Documented profiles and stream path
- Codec, resolution and frame rate
- Network access and approved authentication
- Connection, interruption and recovery results

Can I try this on my own cameras?
Start with a compatibility request. Share camera models, firmware and the event you want to find. An evaluation needs an agreed scope before any camera access is arranged.
Is the website demonstration a product benchmark?
No. The sample demonstration uses illustrative scenes and predefined events. It does not measure accuracy, response time or compatibility on your cameras.
What should we agree before a pilot?
Agree which streams are in scope, who can access the data, where processing runs, retention and deletion, expected outcomes, and the person responsible for reviewing results.
